Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse emphasized at DC Fintech Week that crypto companies should enjoy the same benefits as traditional banks if they adhere to the same rules and regulations.

“One of the things I would ask everyone to do… is to hold traditional finance accountable. Crypto should be held to the same AML, KYC, and OFAC standards—but we should also have access to things like a Fed master account,” Garlinghouse said.

He stressed that unequal treatment hampers growth and stability in the crypto sector.
