US Crypto Market Structure Bill Faces Delays in the Senate
-

Efforts to pass new crypto market-structure legislation in the United States have stalled as lawmakers debate issues ranging from stablecoin rules to ethics concerns. The bill, known as the CLARITY Act, previously passed the United States House of Representatives but still needs approval from Senate committees before a full vote can take place.
Although the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry advanced its version earlier this year, the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs has delayed its markup and has yet to set a new date. Lawmakers must reconcile both versions of the bill before the United States Senate can decide whether to move forward with comprehensive crypto regulation.
