Ethereum’s Sentiment Hits Familiar Lows

Social media sentiment around Ethereum has dropped to levels last seen before its major 2025 rally, according to crypto analytics firm Santiment. Analyst Brian Quinlivan noted that pessimism around ETH looks strikingly similar to the mood just before its last breakout.

Historically, Quinlivan explained, Ethereum has often rallied when market participants were close to “writing it off.” In 2025, ETH surged nearly 70% in four months after sentiment bottomed out, suggesting that extreme negativity may once again be acting as a contrarian signal.
