Aave Plans Compensation After Oracle Misconfiguration

Following the unexpected liquidations, Aave announced plans to compensate users affected by the oracle misconfiguration. The protocol recovered part of the liquidation bonuses — including around 141 Ether — which will be directed toward reimbursing impacted users.

According to Stani Kulechov, Aave’s founder, the problem has already been fixed and no long-term damage was done to the platform. Liquidators earned about 345 ETH in excess liquidation rewards, while the Aave DAO treasury will step in to cover any remaining compensation gap.
