Who Holds the Most Solana ETFs? Breakdown by Institution Type
-

Investment advisers now hold the largest share of US spot Solana ETFs, accounting for over $270 million, while hedge funds follow with $186.4 million. Other investors include holding companies and brokerage firms with $59.5 million and $20.3 million, respectively, while banks hold a smaller portion at $4.5 million. The $540 million in Solana ETF exposure represents roughly 4.3 million SOL tokens.
Despite the impressive institutional accumulation, Solana’s token price has dropped over 30% since the end of Q4, falling from $124.95 to $86.53. Yet, analysts like Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas note that net flows into spot Solana ETFs have remained steady, indicating sustained confidence from serious investors even amid market volatility.
