Mega-Rounds Dominate Crypto Investment as Industry Seeks Fresh Capital
-

Large funding rounds are increasingly shaping the crypto investment landscape. Data from Messari shows that in February, three major deals accounted for 44% of the $795 million raised during the month, highlighting how capital is becoming concentrated in a small number of projects.
Among the biggest investments were Tether’s $200 million investment in online marketplace Whop, a $75 million Series B round for prediction market platform Novig led by Pantera Capital, and a $70 million funding round for Latin American fintech app ARQ Fintech backed by Sequoia Capital. While large rounds continue to attract major capital, analysts say the industry may need new venture funds and fresh investors to sustain long-term growth.
