Cloud data company Snowflake has signed a $200 million multi-year AI deal with OpenAI, underscoring intensifying competition in the enterprise AI market.
Under the agreement, Snowflake’s 12,600 customers will gain access to OpenAI models across all three major cloud providers. Snowflake employees will also use ChatGPT Enterprise, and the two companies plan to co-develop AI agents and other enterprise-focused AI products.
Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy said the partnership allows organizations to deploy AI directly on their enterprise data using Snowflake’s secure, governed platform. OpenAI declined to share additional details beyond the announcement.
