What Is Eric Adams’ NYC Token and What Is It For?
-

Eric Adams recently unveiled the NYC Token during a press event in Times Square, positioning it as a symbolic, community-driven crypto project rather than a traditional investment. According to Adams, proceeds associated with the token are intended to support efforts combating antisemitism and anti-American sentiment.
The project’s website states that the NYC Token runs on the Solana blockchain with a total supply of 1 billion tokens. Only 80 million tokens were circulating at launch, while 70% of the supply is locked in an “NYC Token Reserve” and excluded from circulation, reinforcing the project’s claim that it is not designed as a speculative asset.
