BitVentures Makes a Sudden Leap Into Crypto Mining
-

BitVentures Limited has officially entered the cryptocurrency mining sector, launching a digital assets business less than two weeks after rebranding from its former identity, Santech Holdings. The move marks a sharp strategic shift for the Nasdaq-listed firm, which until recently focused on early-stage technology investments and consumer digital services.
To kick-start operations, BitVentures acquired multiple fleets of Antminer machines from Bitmain, targeting Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin mining. The company also secured 0.5 megawatts of power capacity across U.S.-based data centers, with hardware deployment expected later this month, signaling an intent to move quickly despite its late entry into the sector.
