On December 25, blockchain investigator ZachXBT issued a warning after multiple Trust Wallet users reported unauthorized withdrawals. These incidents appear shortly after a Chrome extension update, sparking concerns about browser wallet security.
Recent trends in malicious extensions show that attackers can hijack transactions or harvest seed phrases. Users are urged to act cautiously: review transaction history, revoke unnecessary permissions, and transfer remaining funds to wallets with new seed phrases. Trust Wallet has yet to confirm the root cause.
