US Institutions Continue Selling Bitcoin Through Christmas

Bitcoin’s holiday cheer is muted for institutional investors. On Christmas Eve, US spot BTC ETFs saw net outflows of $175M, extending a multi-day streak of selling. Analysts attribute the dip to tax loss harvesting and the quarterly options expiry, but some traders remain optimistic that institutions will return to the market after the holidays. Meanwhile, Asia continues to lead as the biggest Bitcoin buyer globally.
