Most Airdropped Tokens Collapse After Launch

A new analysis has reignited a major debate in crypto: should investors hold or sell tokens after receiving an airdrop? Trader Didi tracked 30 airdrops since December 2024 and found that nearly all lost significant value. Tokens like M3M3 dropped 99.64%, Elixir fell 99.50%, and Magic Eden declined 96.6%.

Only one token, Avantis, managed a 30.4% gain. The findings suggest that holding airdrops long-term is risky, and selling at launch may often be the more rational strategy, even if some in the community frown upon early sales.
