OpenSea’s SEA token rollout is part of a larger shift toward becoming a full digital asset trading hub. The company is developing a mobile app, cross-chain tools, and perpetual futures trading, aiming to make onchain trading as seamless as centralized exchanges.
Finzer explained that while OpenSea initially focused on NFTs, the next phase allows users to trade multiple asset types without relying on custodial intermediaries. Users will no longer need to juggle chains, bridges, and wallets — they can manage liquidity in one unified platform.
