Tether Launches XAUT0 Omnichain Gold Token

On October 15, 2025, Tether launched XAUT0, an omnichain gold token via the Legacy Mesh framework on Solana.

Each token represents a fraction of a troy ounce of audited physical gold.
XAUT0 connects Solana to Tether’s $175 billion cross-chain liquidity across Ethereum, Tron, and other blockchains.
Over 7,300 tokens are circulating, with more than $25 billion processed in bridge volume.

Alex Tapscott, CEO of CMCC Global Capital Markets, called gold-backed tokens “the fastest-growing segment of tokenized assets.”
