Ethereum Developers Celebrate Gas Limit Increase as Network Preps Fusaka Upgrade

Ethereum developers are praising the network’s move from a 45M to 60M gas limit, calling it a milestone that seemed “too risky” just a year ago.
Core developer Ben Adams highlighted community support from over 513,000 validators, while Toni Wahrstätter noted that Ethereum achieved a 2× gas limit increase in a single year — with more upgrades on the horizon.
The timing aligns with the upcoming Fusaka upgrade, now live on the Hoodi testnet and set for a Dec. 3 mainnet release.
