WMG Settles With Suno, Paves the Way for Licensed AI Music

Warner Music Group has officially settled its copyright lawsuit with AI music startup Suno — and turned the resolution into a partnership.
The deal includes new licensed, artist-friendly AI models launching next year, full creator control over name/voice/likeness usage, and a new paid structure for audio downloads.
WMG also sold its concert-discovery platform Songkick to Suno, which will continue operating under its new owner.
A massive pivot: instead of fighting generative music, WMG is shaping how it will be commercialized.
