Hugging Face CEO Says We’re in an “LLM Bubble,” Not an AI Bubble

Hugging Face co-founder and CEO Clem Delangue says the hype around large language models — the tech behind ChatGPT and Gemini — is overheating and could “burst next year.” Speaking at an Axios event, he argued that LLMs are only one slice of AI, and that growth in areas like biology, chemistry, image, audio, and video models is still just beginning.
Delangue emphasized that AI’s future isn’t at risk even if LLM valuations cool off.
