To strengthen AI transparency, TikTok is testing invisible watermarking technology that the platform can detect even if content is edited or reuploaded.
The company already uses C2PA Content Credentials, but metadata can be stripped when videos move across platforms. The new invisible watermark adds an extra layer of identification and will be applied to AI content created with TikTok tools or uploaded with C2PA tags.
