Meta Launches New Content Protection for Facebook Creators

Meta just rolled out Facebook Content Protection, a mobile tool that alerts creators when their original Reels are being reused without permission across Facebook or Instagram.

Creators can now:

Block visibility of stolen Reels

Track performance + add attribution links

Allow or release claims on reposted content

Create an “allow list” for approved users

The tool uses the same matching tech behind Rights Manager and shows match percentage, views, follower counts, and monetization status.

This feature is automatically rolling out to creators in the Facebook Content Monetization Program and those using Rights Manager, aiming to give original creators more control and visibility.
