Planet Zoo Sequel Announced

Frontier Developments has confirmed that a sequel to Planet Zoo is officially in the works.

The announcement came during the game’s six-year anniversary celebration, with the studio promising more details in 2026.

Originally launched for PC in 2019 and later ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2024, Planet Zoo lets players build and manage a zoo featuring 76 animal species in the base game and 132 additional species across 20 DLCs.

The game maintains a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with nearly 75,000 reviews. Fans of construction and management simulators can expect Frontier to expand on the beloved Planet Zoo formula in the upcoming sequel.
