CZ Says Trump Pardon Came as a Surprise

Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao said he was “somewhat surprised” to receive a presidential pardon from U.S. President Donald Trump, denying any personal or business ties to the Trump family.

Speaking to Fox News, CZ said he never met or spoke with Trump and only met Eric Trump once at a crypto conference in Abu Dhabi.

“There is no business relationship between me, Binance, and World Liberty Finance,” he stated, adding he was unaware of the pardon’s progress until it happened.
