Tesla’s Long-Awaited Roadster Gets an Official Reveal Date

After nearly nine years of delays, Tesla CEO Elon Musk says the long-promised second-generation Roadster will finally be revealed on April 1, 2026.
Speaking at Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting, Musk admitted the April Fools’ date offers him “some deniability” if plans slip again.

He teased that the new Roadster will be “very different from what was shown previously,” calling the upcoming demo “the most exciting—whether it works or not—ever of any product.”

Production, Musk said, is expected to start 12–18 months after the reveal.
