The Balancer exploit was executed by highly skilled attackers who used 0.1 ETH Tornado Cash deposits to fund and conceal their activities, the project revealed.

Working with cybersecurity firms and partner protocols, Balancer has managed to recover or freeze a portion of the stolen funds, including roughly $19 million in osETH and $2 million in osGNO.

The team has paused all affected pools and suspended new pool creation until the security flaw is fully addressed.
