November 3, 2025 — Team SoloMid (TSM), one of North America’s most recognizable esports organizations, has officially announced its withdrawal from Valorant esports after five years of competition.

In a statement posted on social media, TSM reflected on its long pursuit of a Tier 1 position through the Valorant Challengers and Ascension circuits.

“Throughout the last 3 years we have continuously navigated the Challengers circuit in the hopes of finally reaching Tier 1. We improved gradually, year over year, culminating in an Ascension Grand Finals berth in 2025,” the organization wrote. “Now, after half a decade in VALORANT, we plan on exiting the space with no immediate return in sight.”

TSM thanked Riot Games for “continued attempts to restructure the Tier 2 ecosystem for the better” but did not provide a reason for its exit.

The team’s most recent roster featured Anthony “gMd” Guimond, Johann “Seven” Hernandez, Jordan “Vora” Pulwer, Alvin “Alvinboy” Hong, and Timothée “Timotino” Lavigne Dupont.

TSM narrowly missed promotion to Valorant’s top competitive tier in 2025 after falling to Envy in the North American Ascension Grand Finals.

The organization’s departure marks the end of a notable era for one of esports’ legacy brands, which had fielded rosters across multiple titles including League of Legends, Apex Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege.

Sad to see an OG org leave Valorant — end of an era. 🎯

Esports shifting fast — orgs are clearly tightening budgets post-2024. 💸
