Malaysia Unveils Three-Year Tokenization Roadmap

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has announced a three-year roadmap to pilot asset tokenization across its financial sector.

Through its Digital Asset Innovation Hub (DAIH), BNM will explore proof-of-concept and live projects focusing on real-world assets, not speculative crypto.
Use cases include supply chain financing, Shariah-compliant transactions, and green finance.

A new Industry Working Group, co-led with the Securities Commission, will coordinate standards and regulation. The initiative aims to modernize Malaysia’s financial infrastructure through blockchain-based systems.
