Amazon’s New World: Aeternum Ends Content Updates After Four Years

After four years of updates, New World: Aeternum will no longer receive new content. Amazon Games confirmed in an Oct. 28 blog post that Season 10: Nighthaven marks the game’s final content release.

To thank the community, Nighthaven and Rise of the Angry Earth expansions will be made free to all players. Although no shutdown date is set, the developers said they’ll give at least six months’ notice before discontinuing servers.

Players can still purchase the game and make in-game transactions for now. Seasonal bosses and bonus weeks will continue — but no more holiday events are planned.
