Separately, South Korea’s LG Uplus confirmed it reported a suspected data breach to the national cybersecurity agency KISA, joining SK Telecom and KT Telecom, which also disclosed recent incidents.
Reports suggest Chinese or North Korean hackers may have breached up to 9,000 LG Uplus servers.
The Ministry of Science and ICT said investigations into KT and LG Uplus are ongoing.
