John Scott-Railton of the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab said the Dante discovery shows that commercial spyware remains alive and dangerous despite public scandals.
“This proves that even the most radioactive, exposed, and hacked brands can resurrect in new forms,” he said.
Scott-Railton urged governments to impose real consequences for spyware abuse, noting that rebranded companies often continue operations under new names and licenses.

The spyware industry isn’t slowing down — it’s just getting smarter and stealthier. Digital privacy is at real risk. 🕶️⚠️

Spyware remains a global threat, not just a tech issue. Transparency and policy need to catch up fast. 🌍🔍
