Coinbase Launches AI Wallet Access Tool

Coinbase has unveiled Payments MCP, a tool that lets AI agents autonomously access crypto wallets and execute payments using the x402 protocol.
When paired with LLMs like Claude, Gemini, or Codex, agents can tip creators, pay for data, or manage business ops onchain.
“It marks a new phase of agentic commerce,” Coinbase said, calling it a step toward AI-native economic participation.
