Sesame, a conversational AI startup founded by Oculus co-founder Brendan Iribe and Ankit Kumar, has raised a $250 million Series B and opened its beta program to select testers.
The company is developing a personal AI agent that interacts naturally via voice and will be embedded in lightweight, fashion-forward smart glasses designed for all-day wear.
Sesame’s early demos — featuring AI voices “Maya” and “Miles” — drew over a million users and five million minutes of conversation within weeks. Investors include Sequoia and Spark Capital.
