Shakers Raises €14M to Build AI-Powered Freelance Teams

Madrid-based startup Shakers has closed a €14M Series A to accelerate its AI-powered platform that allows companies to assemble elite hybrid teams in minutes. The round was led by Partech with participation from KFund, Brighteye Ventures, Athos Capital, and Wayra.

Shakers’ platform combines vetted freelance tech talent with AI freelance agents, enabling rapid deployment of specialised teams. Already working with 450+ companies, including Microsoft, Inditex, and Telefónica, the startup has grown revenue 6x in the past year, with 60% coming from returning clients.

CEO Héctor Mata explained the vision:

“Traditional work models can’t meet the demand for on-demand, high-skill tech talent. Shakers removes inefficiencies in hiring while giving freelancers flexibility.”

The funding will support expansion across Europe, double Shakers’ team, and enhance AI integrations to orchestrate over 10,000 hybrid projects by 2027.
