Robinhood, eToro, Kraken Expand Tokenized Stock Access
-

Major trading platforms are jumping into tokenized equities.
Robinhood launched a blockchain for European users in June, pledging to list over 200 U.S. stocks and ETFs as onchain tokens. eToro plans to issue 100 tokenized U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs as Ethereum-based ERC-20 tokens, tradable nearly 24/7.
Kraken also joined in September, unveiling a tokenized securities platform for eligible European clients.
Supporters see tokenization as a way to boost access and settlement efficiency, but Galaxy Digital has warned the trend could threaten the New York Stock Exchange’s dominance by shifting liquidity onto blockchain networks.
