Cisco Talos and Google Threat Intelligence report that North Korea-affiliated groups are escalating cyber operations using decentralized and evasive malware tools.

Groups like Famous Chollima are now combining malware strains BeaverTail and OtterCookie to steal credentials, capture screenshots, and record keystrokes. Job seekers are being lured through fake recruitment campaigns, often disguised as technical assessments.

Even organizations not directly targeted face risk when staff or applicants are tricked into installing malicious code.

Cyber espionage disguised as recruitment is a clever but dangerous trend. Awareness campaigns are crucial right now.

How do North Korea become so good at hacking? Looks like they don't even have computers when you see pictures from there.
