Ron Conway Resigns from Salesforce Foundation

Ron Conway, the legendary Silicon Valley investor behind early bets on Google, Airbnb, and Meta, has resigned from the Salesforce Foundation after Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff publicly supported President Trump and called for National Guard patrols in San Francisco.

Conway, a decade-long board member, cited a “failure to understand [the] impact” of Benioff’s statements, saying he “barely recognizes” the friend he has admired for 25 years.

The Salesforce Foundation, which donated $36M in 2023 and ended the year with $400M in assets, supports education and workforce development for disadvantaged youth. A Salesforce spokesperson expressed deep gratitude for Conway’s contributions.
