Airbound wants to make drone delivery cost as little as one cent. Its tail-sitter drone weighs just 3.3 lbs, carries 2.2 lbs, and flies more efficiently than quadcopters thanks to a blended-wing-body design.
Using lithium-ion batteries with 4x the cycle life of common lithium-polymer packs, the startup has already cut delivery costs to ₹24 ($0.27) and plans to drop below ₹5 ($0.05) by 2026.
Beyond healthcare, Airbound is eyeing quick commerce, food, and last-mile delivery, with U.S. expansion planned in three years.
