Airbound Raises $8.65M to Redefine Drone Delivery

Indian drone startup Airbound has secured $8.65M in seed funding led by Lachy Groom, with backing from Lightspeed, Humba Ventures, and execs at Tesla, SpaceX, and Anduril.
Founded by Naman Pushp (20), Airbound has built an ultra-light, rocket-style drone designed for 20x cheaper deliveries than current methods. Its first pilot with Narayana Health in Bengaluru will deliver medical samples and supplies.
The company aims to scale from one drone a day to 100, targeting 1M deliveries daily by 2027.
