Texas Eyes Ethereum for Strategic Crypto Reserve

With its Bitcoin reserve underway, Texas is already considering expanding the fund to include Ether. According to Senator Charles Schwertner, Ethereum could qualify if its market cap sustains $500 billion over two years.

The Texas reserve differs from other states, which either use seized crypto or treasury allocations. The state comptroller is currently reviewing custodial arrangements to ensure compliance with Texas financial regulations.
