Pico Park: Classic Edition Accidentally Made Free on Steam
-

On October 5, 2025, Pico Park creator Shunsuke Miyako announced that Pico Park: Classic Edition had been accidentally made free on Steam. Due to Steam’s policies, once a game is switched from paid to free twice, it cannot be returned to a paid status. Miyako explained in an X post, “I tried updating it and going back to paid, but I forgot that once you go from paid to free, you can never go back to paid!”The Classic Edition, a multiplayer puzzle game for up to 10 players, has received very positive reviews on Steam. The accidental free release led to a spike in player numbers, reaching a new all-time peak on October 7. Miyako encouraged players to enjoy the free version and explore the rest of the series, which includes Pico Park and Pico Park 2.
