Rezolve AI, a publicly listed commerce platform, has acquired Smartpay, a fintech company enabling stablecoin-based payments since 2019. The acquisition, announced Tuesday, will expand Rezolve’s digital asset payment capabilities, including partnerships with Tether’s USDt stablecoin. Smartpay processed over 19 million transactions totaling $1 billion in USDt in the year ending Sept. 30. CEO Daniel M. Wagner said the deal provides “a proven, transaction-tested foundation” to scale Rezolve’s crypto payment initiatives globally.
