Instagram Launches Creator Awards Program

Instagram is rolling out a new awards program to honor creators “who shift culture and break barriers.” The first 25 winners will receive a custom gold ring by designer Grace Wales Bonner, a digital golden ring on their profile, and a personalized “Like” button. Notably, the awards won’t include any monetary prizes, focusing on recognition rather than cash.

Judges include Instagram head Adam Mosseri, director Spike Lee, designer Marc Jacobs, YouTuber Marques Brownlee, and actress Yara Shahidi. The initiative comes amid declining creator payouts and sponsorships in recent years.
