Deloitte Partners With Anthropic Despite AI Report Controversy

Deloitte has announced a landmark AI enterprise deal with Anthropic, just as the firm faces scrutiny over an AI-generated report error for the Australian government.

The consulting giant will deploy Claude, Anthropic’s AI chatbot, to nearly 500,000 employees worldwide, creating industry-specific AI tools for finance, healthcare, and public services.

However, the announcement coincided with news that Deloitte must refund part of a A$439,000 government contract after a report it produced included citations to nonexistent academic papers generated by AI.

Despite the embarrassment, Deloitte says its partnership with Anthropic reinforces its commitment to responsible AI innovation and enterprise transformation.
