The bulk of the file comes from deliberate data duplication, a legacy practice meant to reduce loading times for players still using mechanical hard drives. By contrast, console versions on PlayStation and Xbox are under 25 GB thanks to SSD optimization. The developer says 12% of PC players still rely on HDDs, so duplication remains necessary.
