Snapchat to Cap Free Memories Storage at 5GB

Snapchat is putting a limit on how much you can store for free in its Memories feature. Starting soon, free storage will be capped at 5GB. Users who go over the limit must either export older Snaps or sign up for one of Snapchat’s new storage plans.

The first paid tier starts at $1.99/month for 100GB. Snapchat+ subscribers get 250GB for $3.99/month, and Snapchat Platinum users receive a massive 5TB for $15.99/month.

If you don’t subscribe, Snapchat says it will automatically delete your newest Memories first to stay within the free limit while keeping the oldest ones. Users have 12 months of temporary storage to make their decision.
