NJ business leaders warn the NJDOL proposal could harm the state economy. Michele Siekerka, NJBIA President & CEO, called it promising that candidates understand the potential ramifications.

Gov. Phil Murphy has taken a hands-off approach so far, stating, “Let’s let this play out—and God willing, it’ll land in a good place for workers and for our economy.” Many hope the rule is scrapped before a new governor takes office.
