Paid Raises $21.6M Seed Round, Valued Over $100M

Manny Medina, founder of Outreach, is back with a new startup, Paid, which has just closed an oversubscribed $21.6 million seed round led by Lightspeed. Combined with its €10 million pre-seed round in March, Paid has already raised $33.3 million before even reaching Series A.

Based in London, Paid focuses on the AI agentic economy—not selling agents themselves, but helping agent makers charge customers based on the value their AI delivers. Medina describes it as “results-based billing,” a shift from traditional per-user or buy-it-once software pricing models.

Paid promises to help AI developers monetize agents running in the background, charging for points of margin saved rather than unlimited usage. Investors are betting big on this model, giving Paid a valuation exceeding $100 million.
