Doug Bowser Steps Down at Nintendo 👋

Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser will officially step down on Dec. 31, 2025, after more than a decade of leadership roles.

In his farewell, Bowser recalled one of his earliest gaming memories: playing Donkey Kong in arcades. He called leading Nintendo “the honor of a lifetime.”

His departure leaves a big leadership gap at a time when Nintendo is expanding into both hardware and live-service models.
