Licensing Requirements for Freelancers

Kuwait’s new regulations for freelancers reduce the minimum capital requirement to KD 50, half of what was previously needed. Licences can now include multiple complementary activities, and applications can be submitted via the Sahl app or other approved channels.

The resolution also outlines conditions for applicants: they must be Kuwaiti nationals aged 21 or older, of full legal capacity, with no prior criminal convictions (unless restored), and provide an official address. Landlord consent is required if using a residence, and all transactions must be conducted electronically.
