Big news in AI hardware! OpenAI is reportedly teaming up with former Apple design chief Jony Ive to create next-gen devices, including a smart speaker (without a display), AR-style glasses, and even a digital voice recorder.

The products are still in prototype stage and expected to launch in late 2026 or early 2027. Sources say the pocket-sized devices will integrate tightly with OpenAI’s AI models, hinting at a whole new way to interact with AI.

Production plans already involve Apple suppliers Luxshare and Goertek, and OpenAI has poached over 20 engineers and designers from Apple for the project.
