The ethical hacking group Security Alliance (SEAL) has uncovered at least 60 fake developer profiles tied to North Korean operatives trying to infiltrate US crypto exchanges.
The repository, shared publicly, lists:
Fake aliases and email addresses.
Stolen or falsified citizenship documents.
GitHub accounts and salary requests.
Firms that unknowingly hired them.
In June alone, four North Korean operatives reportedly infiltrated crypto startups as freelancers, stealing $900,000 in combined funds.
SEAL, co-founded by well-known white hat hacker Samczsun, has conducted over 900 investigations in just a year, underscoring the critical role of ethical hackers in defending the industry.
