Meta Is Building a Subscription Empire Around AI, Creators, and Social Apps
-

Meta has unveiled a major expansion of its paid subscription business, introducing global “Plus” plans for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp while also preparing premium AI and creator-focused memberships under a new umbrella brand called “Meta One.”The company also confirmed upcoming AI subscription tiers called Meta One Plus and Meta One Premium, which will offer enhanced reasoning capabilities, more AI-generated images and videos, and higher compute limits for heavy users. Premium plans are expected to cost up to $19.99 per month as Meta competes directly with OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic in the AI subscription race.
At the same time, Meta plans to test expensive creator and business subscriptions with features designed to increase visibility and growth across Facebook and Instagram. Some of the advanced tools include boosted feed placement, stronger analytics, optimized scheduling, and enhanced profile promotion — showing how aggressively Meta is trying to turn creators and AI users into recurring paying customers.
